Nov 5th is Guy Fawkes Night in Great Britain, an annual celebration of fireworks and bonfires marking the anniversary of the failed Gunpowder Plot conspiracy of 1605. Children are taught a simple poem to remember the date, the first line being the inspiration for the title of this recipe. But to throw in some cheekiness, this recipe is our interpretation on the classic “Mind Eraser” cocktail. Traditionally, Mind Erasers are consumed quickly through the straw, but if you are big fan of Allen’s (I mean who isn’t?!?), you may enjoy sipping this one instead…choice is yours. - In a rocks glass filled with ice, layer the following:
- 2 oz Twenty 2 Vodka
- 2 oz Allen’s Coffee Brandy
- 2 oz fresh Tonic Water
- Do NOT stir
- Serve with a drinking straw
