Now, I’m not trying to complain to our fans from southern states. But since it rarely gets this hot up here, only a few lucky people have AC…most days we just plain don’t need it. Here is a cheeky take on our True Micro Distilled Vodka on the rocks. 1 Step. 2 Ingredients (ice and vodka). Swirl to chill. Done. And the effect you feel on your face as you bring the glass up to sip will make you smile. Seriously, try it. 🙂 Recipe: In a pint glass filled with ice, combine: 2 oz Twenty 2 Vodka Stir or swirl to chill (the more the better) Sip and enjoy the cooling...
Vojito Twenty 2

Vojito Twenty 2

A spin on the classic Caribbean cocktail, the Vojito swaps out traditional light rum for some true micro distilled vodka. With the rum replaced, the flavors of fresh lime juice and mint become the stars of the show, and make for a really refreshing beverage. Take care when muddling the mint and lime wedges, if you go psycho with the muddler, the outcome will likely be too bitter to enjoy. 2 teaspoons of Turbinado Sugar (sold in stores as Sugar in the Raw, and available in most restaurants/coffee shops nowadays in the brown packet) will provide a little extra traction for your muddler and round out the cocktail with just a hint of rich molasses notes. Recipe: In an empty Collins glass, combine: 3 Fresh mint leaves, 3 lime wedges, 2 teaspoons (tsp) Turbinado sugar Muddle gently to juice the limes and bruise the mint Fill glass to the top with ice Add 1.5 oz Twenty 2 Vodka Top off with fresh club soda Garnish with a lime wheel and a mint...
22 Penny Nail

22 Penny Nail

If ever there was a simple recipe for sipping, this week’s 3:00 Cocktail is a vodka-version of the “Rusty Nail”. By swapping out the scotch for true micro distilled vodka, the flavors of the Drambuie open up presenting a surprisingly sweet and floral cocktail experience. Garnish with a double dose of lemon twists, making sure to release the essential oils of the peel over the drink for just the right hint of citrus notes. If you are unfamiliar with Drambuie, it’s a readily available liqueur (often reserved for after-dinner digestifs) dating back to the late 1800’s made with aged malt whiskey and flavored with a secret recipe of heather honey, herbs, and spices. Just what the doctah ordered. Ok, let’s get one thing out of the way: this cocktail contains Moxie. This means you are either going to adore it or detest it. That aside, a cocktail mixed with Moxie and True Micro Distilled Vodka from Maine was an inevitable reality. With Moxie’s steadfast following, and distinctive flavor, we didn’t see the point of trying to incorporate just an ounce or two along with a bunch of other mixers. Instead this simple refreshing beverage is 1 part Twenty 2 Vodka with 4 parts ice cold Moxie. And don’t forget the bendy straw. If Moxie isn’t your bag, checkout our extensive list of other original cocktails on our facebook page and enjoy the versatility of quality vodka. Recipe Text: In a pint glass filled with ice, combine: 1.5 oz Twenty 2 Vodka 6 oz Moxie Insert bendy straw and stir to mix Garnish with a maraschino...
Lava Lamp

Lava Lamp

In the world of cocktails, with the exception of ice, it’s rare to find an opportunity to incorporate dynamic features that move and change. The Lava Lamp harnesses the effervescence energy stored in chilled champagne to provide lift to the dried cranberries. As they reach the top and release the bubbles, the fruit sinks back down to the bottom only to repeat the cycle again and again. We timed it once, and this cycle continued for a solid 10 minutes, though, as soon as you taste this perfect mix of true micro distilled vodka, cranberry juice, and extra dry champagne, you might be hard pressed to let it sit around that long. We chose extra dry champagne for the sweetness, and opted to use the cheapest brand we could find with excellent results. No ice is called for as part of the recipe, so be sure to chill all of the ingredients well before mixing. Enjoy! Recipe: In a champagne flute, combine: 1.5 oz Twenty 2 Vodka 1 oz Cranberry Juice 3 oz extra dry Champagne Garnish by dropping 5-6 Craisins  that will float and sink as the lava in the...
