Velvet Slipper

Velvet Slipper

Created as the signature cocktail to be served at the wedding of Elizabeth Fien and Brett Bechtel. The wedding isn’t for a few weeks now, but this recipe is too good to keep secret until then :).  1/2 oz of Chambord is only 1 tablespoon.  If you eyeball the 1/2 pour, you may add too much.  Do measure each ingredient for repeatable results that will please time after time.  Garnish with a fresh spring of mint, the aroma is just enough of a hint of mint to compliment the raspberry of the Chambord. Recipe: In a Collins glass filled with fresh ice, combine: 1.5 oz Twenty 2 Vodka ½ oz Chambord Top off with lemon lime soda Garnish with sprig of fresh mint...

The Doctah’s Orders

The Doctah’s Orders

Recipe #70 – The Doctah’s Orders. Long before the days of growing to conglomerate status, many a soda company began as a herbal blend designed to cure anything from flatfeet to farsightedness. Many of these mostly herbal concoctions were notoriously heavy on the the alcohol content (along with some other now illegal substances), and generally tasted just plain awful. Diluting the full strength recipe with gobs of sugar and carbonated water made the mix more palatable, and ushered certain formulas into today’s mass consumption. Today’s mix promises to save you the experience of the evolution, delivering just the sweet and perfectly balanced flavors with some added fruit for your health. Take 2 and call us in the morning. Recipe: Prep: In an empty pint glass, muddle 2 maraschino cherries and 1 slice of orange to release juices.  Careful not to over muddle the orange peel. Fill glass to top with ice 1.5 oz Twenty 2 Vodka Top off with Diet Cherry Dr Pepper Garnish with an extra cherry (or...
